Suhaib Hamidi is the Founder and Chief Executive of the International Academy of Ruqyah, a leading centre for Ruqyah Shariah and Islamic spiritual healing based in Sheffield, UK. With over a decade of experience helping people overcome sihr (black magic), jinn afflictions, and the evil eye, Suhaib is recognised as one of the foremost Ruqyah practitioners in the UK.

He is the author of Mastering Islamic Exorcism, a pioneering guide that outlines an authentic Qur’anic approach to healing. In addition to private and group healing sessions, Suhaib offers online Ruqyah courses that attract students from across the world, providing structured training for those seeking to learn and practise authentic Ruqyah safely and effectively.

Suhaib continues to lead research and development in Higher Ruqyah techniques, combining deep spiritual insight with disciplined, evidence-based methods. Brother Suhaib has performed wonders masha Allah. He has delved into 40 years worth of trauma cause by magic and begun to undo it all. I have found his methods to be extremely effective. I have listened to weeks if not months worth of ruqya audio, and although nominally effective, I have still felt pain related to magic for many years. The development of higher ruqyah and its effects are tangible. Firesheets given to me by brother Suhaib are actually repelling and destroying magic performed on me and my family. I can feel my health improving, I can see positive changes in myself and my children. Illnesses I thought were inevitable or hereditary are now being removed because they were caused by magic. Stubbornness and hostility within my household have begun to dissipate because they were cause by magic/evil eye. We have been afflicted for years. Suhaib doesn’t use taweez — he uses the Qur'an for healing alongside other methods. His sessions are not for the faint-hearted, as you may witness intense experiences. However, he is honest, never gives false promises, and doesn’t just tell you what you want to hear. Through his sessions, where barriers are broken, I was able to gain more clarity about who may have done black magic on me and how I could begin to recover. Suhaib offers both home visits and office sessions (Sheffield) for your convenience. After intense sessions, when I am feeling weaker (as a result of breaking barriers), he also offers gentler follow-up sessions — like tea sessions similar to ruqya water — to support the healing process. He consistently reminds you that all healing is from Allah and is very clear about this. He never pressures you into more sessions; it’s entirely based on how much you want to push yourself in your journey. His sessions feel therapeutic, and through his methods, you start receiving answers. He is not a magician — he does not “know” who has afflicted you; rather, through the process, the magic weakens, and the truth is revealed to YOU by Allah’s permission. He also recommends complementary treatments like hijamah (cupping therapy) and seeing a chiropractor to ease physical pressure. For those who are skeptical, he is patient and open to answering any questions. Everything he reads is from the Qur'an, and anything written is provided in English to ensure full transparency.

I am truly grateful for the ruqyah sessions I received. One of the most profound experiences was a few years ago when I was diagnosed with inflammation in the brain due to Multiple Sclerosis. After just a few ruqyah sessions, I went for a follow-up check-up, and to the doctors’ surprise, the inflammation had completely disappeared—without leaving any scarring. They couldn’t explain it medically, but I knew it was through the mercy of Allah and the power of ruqyah. From the very first session, I also felt a deep sense of spiritual relief and emotional calm. I had been struggling with unexplained anxiety, a heavy feeling in my chest, and restless sleep. Alhamdulillah, after the sessions, I experienced noticeable improvements both mentally and physically. The ruqyah brought a sense of peace and clarity that reconnected me with my deen and lifted burdens I had been silently carrying. I deeply appreciated how professional, compassionate, and respectful Suhaib was throughout the entire process. His sincerity and care made a real difference. I approached Suhaib as my mother and her siblings had fallen out with each other over the sale of their inherited property after their mother passed away. For reasons unknown the sale of the property was being blocked everytime there was a buyer or the sale process was initiated. During this period my mother and her siblings had argued many times and completely stopped talking to each other for reasons they still do not know. After contacting Suhaib regarding the issues, the property was sold within 1 week and all siblings had finally agreed to the sale. My mother's health has improved since then and she is more at peace. The impact was noticeable immediately from the day of the ruqyah session and from the recommended actions from Suhaib post ruqyah.

I got in touch with Suhaib as me and my wife were arguing over the smallest of issues. There was an increasing tension and uneasiness developing in our relationship to the point that we stopped talking to each other and almost every conversation would turn into an argument. After conducting the ruqyah with Suhaib we felt an immediate relief and burden lifted. Our relationship started to come back to normal. Also, after continuing the recommended actions after the ruqyah we felt a complete turnaround of circumstances.

Alhamdulillah, one of the best decisions I have made is going to IAR for ruqyah. Two major issues in my life were my marriage struggles and ill health related to the the stomach. Brother Suhaib managed to help with regards to both. My stomach problems, which have been misdiagnosed as acid reflux, gastrointestinal reflux disease and bacterial infections are actually appeared due to magic. Knowing the correct diagnosis was a relief in and of itself, but now having the ability to combat it is even better. The higher ruqyah techniques put him leagues above regular Raqis.
