Research & Development

This section underscores the importance of research and development in advancing Ruqyah, integrating traditional practices with modern medical approaches to improve effectiveness and ensure its ongoing relevance in contemporary healing.

The Need for R&D

Advancements in conventional medicine through research and development have improved human health, and engaging in R&D for ruqyah aligns with the Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) approval of beneficial practices. This allows for integrating effective methods that adhere to Islamic teachings.

Traditional Ruqyah practices, such as reciting Quranic verses for extended periods, face challenges in today’s fast-paced world. To address these, the International Academy of Ruqyah (IAR) has developed Higher Ruqyah, a more efficient and effective approach to spiritual healing.

Key Features of Higher Ruqyah:

  • Rapid Treatment Administration: Unlike ‘traditional’ methods of the 20th century and early 21st century that may require extended durations, Higher Ruqyah treatments are designed to be concise, with many treatment requiring under a minute to be administered and some needing as little as 10 seconds.
  • Structured Evaluation: Each session includes a thorough assessment of the patient’s progress, ensuring that the applied ruqyah technique is tailored to their evolving needs.
  • Scalable Implementation: The streamlined nature of Higher Ruqyah allows practitioners to conduct numerous trials efficiently. For instance, treating 100 individuals with ten 15-minute sessions each would require approximately 250 hours, making it feasible to deliver comprehensive care within a reasonable timeframe.

By integrating these advancements, Higher Ruqyah addresses the impracticalities associated with traditional 20th century and early 21st century ruqyah methods, offering a more adaptable and impactful approach to spiritual healing in the contemporary era.

“Approaching Ruqyah with a structured mind and pure intention unlocks the path to spiritual healing and inner peace.”

Higher Ruqyah R&D – Phase 1

In 2015, the International Academy of Ruqyah (IAR) began developing Higher Ruqyah, focusing on innovative techniques to enhance spiritual healing. Two notable methods—Tea Treatment and Cigar Treatment—have shown promising results, prompting further research.

Phase 1 Objective:

Evaluate and document the effectiveness of these techniques to determine the feasibility of more extensive research in Phase 2.

tea treatment - phase 1

Concept:

Utilising tea as a medium, ruqyah is delivered via caffeine to penetrate the brain, targeting the mind (‘aql). This interaction aims to address negative influences more effectively than traditional methods.

2019 case study :

  • Subject: Individual with over 30 years of bipolar disorder and depression.
  • Protocol: 20 daily sessions of Tea Treatment.
  • Results:

“There is nothing wrong with Ruqyah as long as it does not involve shirk (associating partners with Allah…”

Conclusions: The Tea Treatment demonstrated significant improvements, surpassing conventional medical outcomes at an approximate cost of £150.

Cigar Treatment – Phase 1

Concept:

Employing cigar smoke as a conduit, ruqyah is disseminated throughout the body, reaching areas like the respiratory system where liquids may be less effective. This method targets ailments such as asthma by addressing negative elements via the breath.

Important Notice:
This technique is potentially hazardous. This is a personal case study self-administered by Suhaib Hamidi.

Personal Case Study (2019):

  • Condition: Chronic asthma since childhood; history of severe attacks requiring hospitalisation.

“There is nothing wrong with Ruqyah as long as it does not involve shirk (associating partners with Allah…”

Incident: During an acute asthma episode unresponsive to salbutamol (relief lasting only 5 minutes), the Cigar Treatment was administered.

Outcome:

  • The session induced intense coughing, leading to a marked reduction in wheezing and eased breathing within approximately 30 minutes.
  • Post-treatment, the necessity for salbutamol decreased from every 5 minutes to intervals of 2-3 hours.

Conclusions: The Cigar Treatment provided rapid relief during a severe asthma attack, indicating potential as an effective intervention.

Next Steps:

The compelling results from Phase 1 support advancing both treatments to Phase 2 for more comprehensive research and validation.

Higher Ruqyah R&D – Phase 2

Following the promising outcomes from Phase 1 of our Higher Ruqyah research, the International Academy of Ruqyah (IAR) is excited to advance to Phase 2. This phase aims to validate and expand upon our initial findings by conducting larger-scale trials for the Tea Treatment and Cigar Treatment methods.

tea treatment - phase 2

Objective:

To assess the effectiveness of the Tea Treatment in alleviating depression.

Participant Criteria:

  • Diagnosis: Individuals officially diagnosed with depression by their General Practitioner (GP).
  • Location: Must have internet access as treatment will be delivered online
  • Allergies: No known allergies to the treatment ingredients.

“Sometimes healing begins with the simplest of elements—like a warm cup infused with faith and intention.”

Trial Details:

  • Duration: 10 consecutive days (one session per day).
  • Cost: Treatment is offered free of charge to encourage participation. However, to ensure commitment:
  • Participants who miss any session without a valid reason will incur a £200 fee (the full treatment cost) and will be withdrawn from the trial.

Cigar Treatment – Phase 2

Objective:

To explore the broader applications of the Cigar Treatment beyond asthma, including pain management.

Current Status:

Due to the specialised nature of this treatment, Phase 2 will commence once the appropriate team, including conventional medical professionals, is assembled to ensure safety and efficacy.

“When traditional paths fail, courage and conviction can turn even smoke into a vessel for relief.”

Call for Collaboration:

We are seeking open-minded medical professionals interested in understanding and potentially collaborating on this innovative technique.

Potential Impact:

Preliminary data suggests that the Cigar Treatment could offer significant cost savings for healthcare systems. For instance, in the mentioned personal case, the treatment prevented hospital admission, saving approximately £1,400 in hospital costs compared to a treatment cost of around £100.
